Speaker Static Noises

I am using a MacBook Pro 2020 (Intel) and recently a few weeks ago noticed my speakers making static noises just when doing usual things like scrolling through websites and using Word without using audio. It isn't noticeable when playing audio and I haven't heard it make those sounds when playing audio. I am running macOS Big Sur 11.4 and noticed it starting to make the noises on 11.3.1. I use Windows 10 on my Mac as well and I haven't heard the audio crackling on there. Has this been happening for anyone else?

It sounds like you're hearing static from your MacBook Pro speakers, and we're happy to help. Please test to see if this issue occurs in safe mode and in a new user account:

yes it does still make the sounds every once in a while in safe mode even by not touching anything nor playing any audio. it seems like many others have this problem as well and they also haven’t had this since updating to 11.3. here is the link i found it from https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/673854
