Cant sync Podcast from Iphone to Mac

I don't seem to figure out how I sync my podcast programs I use on my iPhone 12 to my MacBook Pro, i have set them to sync but nothings happening?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.4

Podcast Preferences I am trying to sync my podcasts from my phone to my Mac. In the online instructions it says to "In the Podcasts app, choose Podcasts > Preferences > Advanced, then make sure “Sync follows across devices” is selected." For the life of me, I am not able to see in the podcast app where "preferences" is located. Any advice would be very welcome. Thank you

How to select which podcasts will sync from Mac to iPhone ? Hello, Until recently I used iTunes on El Capitan to selectively sync my podcasts to my iPhone. I have a huge podcast library, and don't want everything to sync. (nor would that be possibible). With iTunes I could conveniently select which podcast shows would sync, and which episodes. Now with Catalina and Podcasts, I don't see where to find that functionality. Can someone please tell me is this functionality too been removed from Podcasts? Or is there a way? Thanks

I wish Apple Podcast’s sync function added an option for unidirectional syncing. With the current multi-directional syncing algorithm I have never been able to make it work effectively between a computer, Apple TV and my iPhone. As a result, I now use the Apple podcast app exclusively on my iPhone.
