Not Working External Keyboard and Mouse - Reset USB Port

I am using an external USB mouse and keyboard for my laptop. I am sure that the external devices are working because they both works when plugged into another port on my MBA. Also, I cannot rule out that the USB port is faulty because my flashdrives and harddrives are working fine when connected using that port. Is there any way to reset my USB ports or other way to fix my problem?
