Converting AIF files to MP3

I'm looking for a reliable and safe method of converting WAV files to MP3 - I know I could import WAV files into LOGIC Pro X and bounce down to MP3 - but that is quite long winded

PHIl,

Yes, that makes sense. Doing the conversion in iTunes/Music fits the situation just fine. Note that conversion creates a file in the new format and leaves the original (WAV) in place, so make sure you put the correct one into your playlist. Then burn as an MP3 CD.

Thanks for reply and apologies if I'm in wrong area of communities.

I want to convert WAV files on my hand recorder (used for my musical ideas) into MP3 so that I can burn them to CDs to listen back in my car. 2 reasons: 1) I can fit many more tracks onto a CD in MP3 format and 2) my car CD player won't play WAV files.
