Welcome Tmzais,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, you've forgotten the password to unlock your Mac's encrypted drive. We'll do our best to assist.

In order to unlock or decrypt the Mac's drive, you'd need to know the administrator's username and password, unless a recovery key was created. You'd go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > FileVault > unlock the padlock with your username and password to unlock it. Then it's unlocked. To turn off encryption select 'Turn off FileVault'.

In case you had a recovery key, this should help out: How to use institutional recovery keys with Intel-based Macs

Without the username and password or recovery key, there isn't a way to unlock the Mac.

Should you continue to have issues, were you referring to Find My Activation Lock?

Wishing you the best, take care!
