Hi elara256,

Are you able to see Minecraft listed in your past purchases? If so, what happens when you attempt to download it from there? The following guide explains how:

Redownload apps and games from Apple - Apple Support

If not, is it possible that a different Apple ID was used when the app was purchased?

If the app is shown in your past purchases, but will not download, it may also be the case that the Minecraft app in the App Store is a different app than the one originally purchased. For example, the developer may have released it to be a newer, enhanced or custom app.

If that's the case, and if the other Minecraft app is no longer available for download, it would be necessary to purchase this specific app. We can recommend reaching out to the developer directly to confirm.

Here's how to find contact information for any developer in the App Store:

Hi elara256,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! We appreciate you reaching out for help with your Minecraft app. We're glad to point you in the right direction.

Have you had an opportunity to restart your iPad since noticing this alert message? If not, please do so now, then attempt again to download the app. Here's a guide with the recommended steps for a standard restart:

Restart your iPad - Apple Support

If you're seeing the same message after restart, let us know if your Apple ID is or was part of a Family Sharing group, and if it's possible that the app was first purchased by a different family member's Apple ID.

Here's how to view the past purchases associated with your Apple ID:

We're here for you if you've got any questions.

Have a great day!

Hi elara256,

Thanks so much for checking. In that case, it appears another Apple ID may have been used to first download this app.

You can verify by checking your entire purchase history, which is a running log of all purchases ever made using your Apple ID. This guide explains how to see your detailed purchase history:

If it's not showing, or if a different version of Minecraft is showing in your purchase history, it would be necessary to purchase the new app to download it.

If you're able to locate the app in your purchase history, reach out to Apple Support directly via the following link to inquire further:
