Why does "System Storage" take up all of my hard drive space?

I can't seem to find a straightforward answer to this question, its becoming extremely difficult to do anything when I only have 8 MB of space left... Its absolutely ridiculous 83 gigs of storage is being taken up by something I cant even find to delete?? Everytime I delete something theres free space for a second and its replaced with "system storage" I can't help but feel super frustrated because I know everybody has this problem but i can't seem to find a solution for this. Im about to hard reset everything in hopes of fixing it but I have a feeling that wont even work, i need help asap i cant even work on my computer now any advice? Thank u!
