cursor runs wild opening tabs in Safari and Firefox and Apps on dock when using either trackpad or a mouse.

Am running on a MacBook Pro 13 mid 2012. OS is 10.15.7. When using my regular id, after about 10 minutes of usage, the mouse cursor goes crazy opening Apps on the dock and tabs on Safari and Firefox. It happens so fast that I can't even open an app menu long enough to quit the app. One of the additional things it did was execute the App Store multiple times, which locked my Apple ID. If I turn off the mouse and remove the transceiver, the same goes on with the trackpad. Looking at the Activity monitor, I see that WindowsServer has a high activity. I have been running over 36 hours on a test admin id I created and no of these problems occur, so I do not think the mouse or trackpad is the problem. I just tried my id again and I see a new process, photoanalysisd (1) is consuming the CPU in addition to WindowsServer. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this further? Since a new id does not seem to have this issue, how can I create a new id and make sure it has access to everything my current one has? I can back up Favorites in Safari and Firefox, but how about my desktop, Documents, and Music. I am sure there are other things I would want as well. This does not seem to happen if I do not have a browser open, so I guess I can take a Time Machine or Carbon Copy backup (latest is 2 months old) and then reinstall the OS and my data, but I think just creating a new id and everything my current one has would be quicker. thank you

Copy the files from the old ID on your Users profile into the Users-> Shared folder.

If using POP email, use IMAP instead, and copy the files back to the server that aren't already there.

Make sure your machine isn't over 85% full.

Do not use any optimization software.

If the issue persists on the new user, Etrecheck is a handy diagnosis only software that I explain in the tip below how to share its results:
