airpods pro qualifies for service because of the squeaking sound. will they replace it?
I have a pair of airpods pro that have been doing the high pitch squeaking sound. I chatted with a rep on apple.com and he/she confirmed it qualifies for service free of charge.
if I take it to the store, will they replace it for me or will they try to "fix" it? I know there are 'fixes' that can be done to it, like unpairing/pairing, uninstall/install etc. I have already done these and while it does fix it, it only lasts a few days and it goes back to squealing again. Last thing I want to do is to make mutiple trips and it's always a drag to "insist" I want it replaced and potentially get in an argument with the rep.
any body have any experience with this? what can I expect?
