iPad Pro 9.7 magic keyboard

Will the later models of iPad Pro magic keyboards work with my iPad Pro 9.7

or am I stuck?

To reiterate, Magic Keyboards for iPad are only compatible with iPad Air4 and 2018/2020/2021 models of iPad Pro.


Not sure which iPad you have? Identify your iPad model.


The 9.7” iPad Pro was released in 2016 - and is not compatible with the Magic Keyboard for iPad. You are, however, able to use standalone Bluetooth (wireless) keyboards with your iPad.

Unless your 9.7" is specifically mentioned, you will not be able to attach it to the iPad, but these keyboards are listed as being compatible:

Now, if you have no need to attach it, quite a few bluetooth keyboards will work with an iPad Pro. I use this one

You can actually attach that one, but I am afraid of hurting the screen, so I just use it separately. In my opinion, they are the best functioning Keyboards made for iPads.
