Podcast and music settings disappeared from Apple Watch app

I have an iPhone 11 and a Watch (one generation old), both on current iOS. At some point, the music and podcast sections disappeared from the Apple Watch app on the iPhone (see photo). The apps are still on the watch and the podcasts keep syncing - but I have no way to change the settings. When I type the words into the search bar, the menu items come up but when I click on them, nothing happens. Has anyone seen this? I assume that if I uninstall and reinstall the watch app I lose a bunch of settings so I am reluctant to do that unless I have to.

We understand that you’re no longer seeing the Music or Apple Podcasts app in the Watch app on your iPhone. We’d like to help.


Have you tried force quitting and reopening the Watch app? Or restarting your iPhone? We would suggest trying that first.


Do you have the Music and Apple Podcasts app installed on your iPhone?
