.mov from MacBook Pro to IPhone X

I am trying to get a .mov from my desktop to my photos app on my iPhone X.

I can’t use iCloud, and Airdrop doesn’t seem to be working. I get an error message when trying to play the “imported” video.

so I’ve been trying to use Finder and a wired connection, but when I go to Photos, Select the folder (and include videos) to import, all of the options are greyed out.

The video is about 30 minutes long, so that’s also why I sending it wirelessly is a suboptimal decision. Airdrop can’t handle it apparently, and it’s too big for email or Messages.

Can anyone think of why Finder won’t work? Or of another way to get this to work?

Both have the most up to date software

Big Sur 11.4 and IOS 14.6

iPhone X, iOS 14
