I purchased some airtags to put onto many things, I am wanting to share the family members like we do for location but I cannot find where to share. Please help

"An AirTag can be associated with one Apple ID. If you want to use an AirTag that someone else has used, they need to remove the AirTag from their Apple ID first. If the previous user removed the AirTag from their Apple ID but they were out of Bluetooth range of the AirTag, then you need to reset it before you can use it with your devices."

It apparently escaped your attention that I was not replying to the OP.
If you have a Garmin GPS for your bike or wrist you can share a live-track email with her to track you on your rides. Apple is so behind in this technology. Live Track is 6 years old.
And yet there seems to be no problems with live track. You type in the the email address. No one else.
Can anybody tell me why my AirTags only seem to work for a short distance then cut off ?
Hope Apple can solve this. We have an air tag for our dog and the family need to all be able to find him if he gets lost. Really big opportunity missed.
Yep, us too, they get out occasionally. A bit dumb to put two tags on the dog so we can both track them.
we share Apple HomeKit, why not these?
You DO understand that the tag beeps whenever the dog moves and your devices are not nearby?
I’d opine that any animal subjected to the incessant beeping will be more prone to “bolt” as an escape.
The only way it works if both got the same Apple ID
but I do agree sure apple should sort this out so can a least use is with two others
That sucks that you cannot do that. My wife lost her keys and misplaced her phone. Now she can’t find either.
