i renamed my startup disk folder by accident and now when my mac turns on it has a blinking folder

how do i fix this? i have tried everything like holding option r, and everything and the screen just keeps showing the blinking folder. im annoyed cause i know what happened, but i don't know why you can rename the startup disk thingy in the first place if it will break your whole system???? ok whatever, can i just have help please
