Unable to open Pages document

This has happened a couple of times this week - trying to open a pages document and it fails with message "<filename> can't be opened right now Pages couldn't read the file. You can try restoring to a previous version

Time machine doesn't seem to have any previous versions

Any suggestions? Thanks

Ensure that your Pages document is on your local startup drive in your account.

Reboot your Mac, and see if Pages will then open the document. If the problem persists, boot into Safe Boot mode, test Pages again with this document, and then reboot normally, again testing Pages with this same document.

Safe boot mode is performing some other tasks during its boot process so it will be much slower than a normal boot.
