Apple News App was working fine. For past five days it does not refresh. It does show at bottom of story that it is five days old. It also shows today's date. I am on ios 14.4.2 which was updated more than a month ago.
I tried closing and opening the News app but did not help. When I got "standard" answer that just update the IOS, it occurred to my why not just uninstall the app and re-install. Worked. There must be some bug in News app.

In this case, it looks like your iPhone is actually running an older version of iOS. With that being the case, we want to recommend that the first step in troubleshooting this be updating your iPhone to the lates version available. That should be iOS 14.6. Here is how you can update: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Once you're up to date, restart the phone and test the News app again and seeing if the update helps resolve the issue.

If it happens again, try simply closing the Apple News app and then opening it:

As I had mentioned it was not the IOS version issue because it was working on that version and suddenly stopped working. I uninstalled the app, reinstalled and it is working fine.
