Does the problem of some MacBook pros built in 2013 and 2014 bricking when installing Big Sur still occur with version 11.4?
MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

It depends on how your MacBook Pro is configured. I have a 2013 MacBook Air and a 2015 MacBook, both with 8GBs RAM, both running Big Sur. I have no problems. On the other hand Catalina will continue to be supported for at least a couple years.

The issue was fixed as of Big Sur 11.1.
Also read elsewhere that Catalina runs faster and cooler on older Macs such as mine, that don't have the new M1 chip. Decided not to upgrade.
Thanks
