Hide activity

Can I hide my activity from a fried, without them knowing I am hiding it?

Share your activity from Apple Watch - Apple Support

"Just open the Activity app on your Apple Watch, swipe left, tap a friend, scroll down, then tap Hide my Activity."

Thank you, but I think it shows to your friend that you are bidding from them. A friend did it by accident and it said she was hiding her activity from me. I don’t want her to know…:it’s just a session on one day that I do t want to share with her as I’m supposed to be somewhere else 😬
