Disable next episode autoplay

When I'm watching TV shows on the Apple TV app on an Apple TV device, the next episode will always auto play. This means that if I fall asleep or am otherwise distracted, I will have to manually go back to an episode list to start over where I left off. The amusing thing about this is that last year, people were complaining that they couldn't binge watch shows using auto play. Apparently the solution was to force everyone to use auto play, because that looks to be how it works now.

I wish Apple would learn from Netflix and Hulu and make this an option. Some people like to binge, some like to watch one episode at a time. There is no one solution for everyone. We need an episode auto play option.

Please note that I am not talking about auto play previews, which can be disabled via an accessibility setting. Also, I am aware that hitting the menu or back button will stop the auto play countdown. However, if I am asleep or not in the room, that option is not useful.

This is simply maddening. I choose to watch an episode, in part, based on how long it is, knowing how much time I have available. I'll get distracted or something and the next thing you know is that a new episode has started. Why would a provider assume that it knows better how to manage my time. FIX THIS, Apple!
