Can’t run diagnostic test + glitching tabs

I have a 2020 macbook pro and have been trying to run a diagnostics test since my safari tabs seem to be glitching and randomly opening but the screen turns black and only shows the serial number and the options to restart or shut down right after it asks me to choose to run the test offline or send it to apple. I am not sure what the problem is. My macbook has glitched twice now but this time it had opened parts of twitter and a random page about the macbooks camera light all glitched together on the screen. I am not sure how this had happened since I was only looking at google maps at the time. Any help is appreciated thank you.

Have you tried safe mode to troubleshoot?

How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support.

NoteSafe mode prevents your Mac from loading certain software as it starts up, including login items, system extensions not required by macOS, and fonts not installed by macOS. It also does a basic check of your startup disk, similar to using First Aid in Disk Utility. And it deletes some system caches, including font caches and the kernel cache, which are automatically created again as needed.
