I want to see a map, not words to navigate. Map navigation problem

How do I switch from navigating with words to navigating with a picture of a street map?

Good day cjlyons48,

We understand that you’re wanting to change the view of the navigation in the Maps app on your device. It looks like you reviewed Turn Location Services and GPS on or off on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in attempting to answer the question.

Sounds like you might have the route’s details pulled up. Provided your device is not currently connected to a vehicle, do you see Done at the top right? By default, when navigating using driving directions with the Map app open on the display, you should see the current and next direction at the top and then a map showing where you are on the route. The following link shows a screenshot: Get driving directions from your current location in Maps on iPhone

Thanks.
