My message app is crashing after recent update to 5.0. Are there gonna be new updates soon? I have lost all my pictures and contacts in this app. I've spent hours on the phone with Verizon with no luck. I've restarted, uninstalled/reinstalled, restored phone and the app continues to crash on start up.

There are no recent Apple updates that are versions 5.0 related. The Messages app is part of the iOS version 14.x that you already have. Which Messages app are you referring to? Is this an app developed by Verizon?

I am not sure how Apple can help resolve an issue with an App that is developed by Verizon. Have you tried to delete the app and the reinstall it from the App Store again? Not sure whether you would lose any data associated with the app or not.
