I'm in a right pickle - unhiding a volume
I wanted to test hiding an external volume and used the following command in Terminal;
chflags hidden /Volumes/volumename
I then tried to undide it using;
chflags unhidden /Volumes/volumename
The volume did not reappear in my finder window.
I then tried;
sudo SetFile -a V /Volumes/"Drive Name"
and I was then prompted for a password.
For a while, I was repeatedly entering the external drive password and it was never accepted.
I then found out that the password is my computer username password, but also, that I had to register that in Terminal first. I did that but I am still unable to unhide my external drive.
Can anyone suggest what I can do?
