Calendar Event Alarms

Is there any way to automatically create an alarm for specific calendar events? I don’t want an alert, I want an ALARM. I don’t have a set work schedule, and sometimes I forget to turn my alarm on. I am trying to figure out a way in which when I create (or duplicate) a “Work” calendar entry, an ALARM will go off 2 hours before without manually having to create the event and then go to my Clock app every night before I am scheduled to work to turn on my work alarm. It seems like a very simple request, but I have been unsuccessful in finding a solution to this problem (shortcuts, automations, 3rd party apps, etc). I want something as simple as creating an event and having the option of attaching an ALARM for the specific event 2 hours before. Even if there was a 3rd party app that could attach an ALARM to calendar events with specific key words, like “Work?” Even further, alerts that act as alarms (by changing the sound, duration, etc) still get muted when an iPhone is on silent mode. Actual integration with an ALARM (that still goes off regardless of silent mode) is preferable. Please help me figure this out! :)

Thank you for the suggestion, but the problem with “sleep schedule” and “bedtime“ is that it requires you to select which days of the week to activate, which would only work if I had a set schedule. For example, my schedule is generally Tuesday through Thursday and every other weekend (but it changes on occasion). In order for it to work for me, I would still need to activate and deactivate it every other weekend, which still leaves a chance for me to forget to turn it back on.

 AgentA2R2,

Thanks for your reply. The convenience of the sleep schedule is, you can literally just have a "work" alarm schedule. For instance, when you get your schedule, you hit one button to engage that specific schedule. So you will have 2 sleep schedules: 1 for work and 1 for other. Then you will only activate work, when you get your schedule. And it allows you to have literally 2 alarms for it and the option to snooze. We have included a couple more links for you to check out. Try out the alarm / sleep options before your actual work schedule begins to see if it will work for you.

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities AgentA2R2,

Thank you for contacting us regarding your alarm request. You have come to the right place and we are happy to try and assist with this task. It may be something also to leave as feedback to Apple on the website as well. We would recommend possibly trying the Sleep Schedule in the Health App. You can setup the alarm options and the days option. You will still have to add "work" to the sleep schedule, but when you do, it will allow you to have different tones or even songs to play as the alarm. We have included a couple links for you to check out and see if this will work for you.
