FaceTime Failing

I recently got an IPad 8th generation in May and had no issues. But now that I have updated it to iOS 14.6 my FaceTime randomly hangs up calls and sometimes won’t even let me call a person back and says FaceTime failed. I’m new to apple devices and I’m not sure if this has happened to anyone else before. I’ve tried restarting it and even disconnecting and reconnecting to WiFi. I don’t know what to do and any help would be nice!!
