Help! Safari cannot open page because too many redirects occured.

Hi!

Recently my Gmail accounts password was messed up and I had to re-enter it, which isn't usually an issue until I actually couldn't because Safari said that it cannot open the page because of too many redirects.

I've searched up answers and all of them seem to be the same- scrolling and removing website data, etc..

I've done all of that but nothing works. Turning off wifi, removing website data, restarting my phone, nothing worked. I had to end up deleting the Gmail account because it wouldn't let me re-enter the password- even when I copied the link it gave me to reset the password- and went through Chrome.

I do know though that there is a good chance my Safari is corrupted, as I opened up a virus ridden website on there and got a lotttt of pop-ups and ever since then, my Safari has not been the same! It won't even open up links or anything, no matter how hard I try to restart it..

Please help! Thanks.
