How do I close all apps at once?

Hello,

I rarely use my iPad but circumstances for a work demo mean I need to use it not my MacBook Pro.

It’s the first time in ages I’ve used iOS as I use A Samsung/Android phone and I cannot seem to find a way to close all apps, which is something my phone does with one click.

Ive even had a look at the shortcuts app but can’t see a logical way to achieve that there either. Is there seriously no way to close all apps?

Many thanks,

John

There is no option to close all apps at once as this is not normally necessary. Unless an App is not responding or misbehaving, there is no reason to completely close it.

For best performance and battery life its best to leave them in their suspended state.

Thank you for your answer - it saves my sanity as I couldn’t believe it was impossible but evidently is.

To your points, while I get that non-functionality it makes no difference, if you have tens of apps open (which happens when there’s no easy way to close them, the multitasking feature becomes rubbish because you need to fanny around trying to find the one you want or use spotlight.

This functionality should exist to clear the decks conveniently and clutter from the Ui.
