I was working on a Numbers file and it got locked all of a sudden. It says that my document cannot be reverted. It also says "This document can no longer be used because it's file has become unreadable, so it must be closed.
I tried checking the get info->locked checkbox, and it it unchecked.
If I close the document I will lose everything on there, is there a solution to this? Thanks!

did you try the opening the Numbers menu "File", then hold the option key and choose"Save As…"? Then save as a new document?
Create a new, empty, document, then copy the contents of the problem document to the new document and save as soon as you can
select each sheet using the contextual menu:
the use the corresponding contextual menu in the destination (new) doc to paste. Repeat as needed
Number does not modify excel files. It imports an excel file into a new document. You must then save the document as a Numbers file. Then you can export the file back to excel if you need it in excel format.
How do I copy the contents of the problem document to the new document?
I can't do anything with the problem document it says this
Do you have a Time Machine back up of the document?
Have you emailed the document? Shared it with anyone?
I think your only choice is to close the document and reboot

Could this have happened because the original document was an excel sheet? So maybe the excel sheet -> Numbers app transfer made it a problem file?
