The iMessage emoji and talk to text icons are half way off my X and are completely unusable. The display is in Standard view, not Zoomed and the iOS is current. They do not work when the phone is in portrait orientation.

Here's the solution that worked for the X after a very long time with Apple support. All the people I talked with were wonderful.
Perform a backup (we used icloud) and erase the phone, then restored from that backup. Some combination of settings were likely the issue. Regardless, the icons are now fully functional.

Does restarting your iPhone resolve the issue?

I am having exactly the same problem. No solution have i found after many hours.
Thanks for the response. The issue started after the phone was given to us a month ago in May 2021. It was updated to iOS 14.6; restarting the phone does not solve the problem and app that uses the keyboard has the same problem.
