Hey ChangeAgent,

Resetting your NVRAM is typically one of the first troubleshooting steps that are recommended when troubleshooting built-in system apps, Resetting the NVRAM can reset certain system settings that can be causing issues related to your Mail application. This is why it is one of the initial steps that are typically recommended.

Cheers.

Hi ChangeAgent,

Thanks for posting your question in Apple Support Communities!

There are several things you can do here in order to attempt to resolve this issues. First, you will want to try resetting the NVRAM on the Mac. You can do this by following the steps in this article: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac.

Next you will need to run first aid on your startup disk by following the steps here: How to repair a Mac disk with Disk Utility.

If these options don't work you may want to try creating a test user account in order to see if this is an issue at the system level.

Best Wishes.

Morning i_rina, thanks for the reply.

resetting the NVRAM on the Mac I can give a go. as it is a blind server this will be a bit of a to-do as I need to get it out of its niche get it hooked up to a KB and a screen. but willing to try. for my education why do you think it will solve the problem I have, or might do? first aid I ran and this did not do anything.
