I’m looking for a lightning to audio jack adapter to listen hi-res lossless music from my iPhone.
I would like to avoir having to use the usb camera adapter plus a portable usb dc, it’s too cumbersome really, especially when you are on the move.
I came accros this but I must say it looks too good to be true, what do you think ?

The above article has some discussion about using adapters.
That would be a question for the manufacturer Audiophonics.
Apple's own adapter is capable of "up to 24-bit/48 kHz lossless audio".
Unless someone has tried that particular adapter out, and measured the output to be certain, there's no way for anyone to know.
It may be able to do that on a device that supports 32-bit 48khz audio, but likely not an an iPhone that is limited to 24-bit 48khz audio.
Basically there's nothing that stops the adapter from supporting that, but it won't produce it, unless the audio source is in that format. Obviously not from an iPhone.

I wasn’t asking how to listen to lossless audio from my iPhone, but if the lightning dongle can really do what it advertised for (decoding up to 32bits 384 hHz from the lightning port knowing the iPhone audio output is capped at 24 bits 48 kHz).
So is it possible that this adapter combines both a USB “camera” adapter and a DAC ?
I suspect it doesn’t, would be too good to be true.
