MAcBook Pro 13 2017 Touch bar swollen battery

Is it possible that a battery with only 123 cycle, two and a half years, is totally swollen? It's working perfectly but the notebook seems inflated and the Haptic Feedback on the trackpad is not working.The mac never fall, or drop, or got wet. There is no recall for this model.


Any chance Apple change it for free?

Have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider examine the laptop. If the battery is swollen and the laptop is less than three years old you can most likely have the battery replaced for free. Apple has some "secret" free repair programs which they do not publicly disclose. Our organization has had several swollen batteries replaced for free even after the one year warranty was expired.


FYI, here is the current list of the publicly acknowledged free repair programs for various Apple products (some products have multiple programs available):
