Sharing Note/Numbers error: 'Sorry, your invitation couldn’t be sent.'

Having issues with sharing a Numbers spreadsheet... and getting this error. Closed. and opened the app and restarted.. no results.

Hard to tell from the error message.

Is your macOS up to date? If you are running Big Sur be sure to update to the latest version, currently Big Sur 11.4. To do that go to System Preferences > Software Update. And are you running 11.1 of Numbers? If not, update at the Mac App Store.

If all of that is already in order, then you also might try restarting your Mac.
