my 2017 macbook air shows the mirroring airplay display, but doesn't give me the option to turn it on. It just continues to say off even if i use the drop down arrow, it just shows off as an option. I've read that 2017 macbook airs support airplay, so i was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this? Thanks!

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're not able to Stream audio and video from your Mac with AirPlay and we are happy to help! To resolve this problem follow the steps that are found in the Apple Support article If screen mirroring or streaming isn't working on your AirPlay-compatible device.
