If I have family sharing can I remove my iphone from my Apple ID device list?

I'm switching to a new iPhone and need to remove my old phone from my Apple ID device list. The "remove" option is not shown. Is this because I have Family Sharing? What can I do?

iPhone 11, iOS 14

Have you tried changing your Apple ID password or on the old phone, have you tried signing out of iCloud?
