iCloud Contact "(null)"

Since a Genius bar guy transferred my iPhone content to another handset, my Contacts on my MacBook Air keeps adding "(null)" to my iCloud Contacts list. Why and what can I do to stop this ?

Also, my Contacts are i) split between between All iCloud and on My Mac, ii) don't synchronise between the two groupings despite having the same groups, and iii) my Mac don't sync with my iPhone either.

New Contacts from iPhone not Syncing to iCloud and MacBook My contacts were not syncing from iPhone to MacBook, so I went to settings, turned off Contacts in iCloud saving onto iPhone, then turned them on again clicking Merge. It did not fix the problem. I went into Contacts in iCloud and searched for a couple relatively new (not brand new) contacts and they're not there. I also browsed to where they should be alphabetically and they weren't there. I then edited an existing contact and that worked fine - it edited on my iPhone and in the iCloud. So it appears the connection is fine, but new contacts are not being synced. Any suggestions for what I can do?

Contacts won't sync to MacBook Hi! I have an Iphone 12 pro max and a Macbook Pro from 2019. Ever since I got this Macbook, my contacts won't sync to it. I also have an iPad and the contacts sync to that so I'm not sure the issue. I've made sure contacts is selected under the iCloud settings on both my mac and phone. I've deselected contacts on both, restarted both devices, then reselected contacts in the iCloud settings and still it didn't sync. I logged into the iCloud website and looked at my contacts there and it doesn't show my recently added contacts either. I'm confused how my contacts won't sync to my Mac or the iCloud website, but will sync to my iPad. I've tried all of the other options from this link as well. If your iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders won’t sync - Apple Support I'd appreciate any help!

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. From our understanding, your Contacts are not syncing between your iPhone and your Mac and it keeps adding an invalid contact, do we have that right?

You can try the steps in this article to troubleshooting the syncing issue: If your iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders won’t sync.

This may resolve this issue with the Macbook Air adding the "Null" contact sync that can mean something is not syncing properly.
