Can a degraded battery affect wifi connectivity on an Iphone 7?

My battery is saying its health is still at 72%, & is supporting peak performance. My iPhone keeps heating significantly, and its wifi is not working at all. Any applications that I open are get closed abruptly, as if they are crashing, the mobile data through SIM, is working ok but lags at times. I am using a 4G SIM connection.

Can this all be because of a degraded battery on an iPhone 7?
