Restoring my i|Phone from a backup

I erased my iPhone and wish to restore it now from a recent backup.

The phone is connected to my PC and recognised by iTunes.

iTunes has my backup available.

When I try and do the restore, iTunes says that my password is incorrect. I know for sure that I am using the correct Apple ID password.

Password to restore iPhone 7 from computer I am trying to restore my iPhone7 from my computer asfter Verizon chat support had me backup and then reset my iPhone to factory settings. Now, when I try to restore my phone, it keeps asking for a password. It will not accept anything I input. Is my iTunes password the same as the one I use to sign into my Apple ID? Restoring new iPhone from backup issue I just got my new iPhone today and made sure to back up my old one last night onto iTunes. When i went to plug my phone in to restore the backup, it prompted me to 'Enter the password to unlock your iPhone backup'. I entered my password MULTIPLE times, even after i changed the password, and every time it pops up 'iTunes could not restore the iPhone because the password was incorrect'. How can i restore my phone if this is happening?

Did you encrypt the backup?

Backups - encrypted backups in iTunes.
