ipad scribble bullet indentation

I'm using Scribble in Pages on an iPad air 4 to take notes. I've formatted things in the "Note Taking" style of "Bullets & Lists". When I go to a new line and then indent using the toolbar buttons at the bottom of the screen it only indents the text and doesn't bring the bullet point with it.

  • This is what happens
  • (Text starts here)
  • This is what I want to happen
    • (Text starts here)

I can get lines to indent like I want by selecting the line, going to the formatting icon (paintbrush) at the top of the screen, and indenting it from there. Is there a more streamlined way of accomplishing this while using Scribble?

I just updated the software today.

Greetings, mcp1945!

From your post, it sounds like you're trying to find out how to indent lines in the Pages app while using Scribble. We’re glad that you reached out to the Apple Support Communities. We want to try and help you find the answers you need.

Have you had a chance to look over this guide for how to use Scribble in the Pages app: Draw, annotate, and use Scribble in Pages? As it shows there, the toolbar has buttons to indent, format, and align text, as well as to insert page breaks, bookmarks, and more.

We hope this information helps you out.

Take care!

Thanks for replying! I've tried reading through the instructions on that page but it doesn't address the specifics of how to get the bullet point to indent along with the text. I've read a few different instructional pages on how to use Pages on iPad or about Scribble without this issue being specifically addressed. The resources I've found just mention the ability to indent text.
