iPhone XR security

I’m getting multiple security notifications on my iPhone XR concerning malware problems telling me to download a particular app correct the problem. Now I’m getting a notice that says if I choose not to download the app and not to receive further notifications in “calendar” to download another app to solve the problem. Is this legitimate? If not, how do I check my iPhone to see if it’s secure? I’m new at this game!

If running iOS 13 or earlier versions, check: Settings - Passwords & Accounts - Accounts - Any rogue entries here? If so, delete the rogue account.

If running iOS 14, check: Settings - Calendar - Accounts - Any rogue entries here? If so, delete the rogue account.
