Deleted applications continue to take up space in the hard drive

After deleting two applications, as well as emptying the trash, both apps appear to be taking up storage. Clicking the apple icon in the top left corner of the desktop, selecting about this mac, then selecting the storage tab, and finally clicking manage... I still see both applications. How can I resolve this?


Other information: applications are not from the apple store

Did you use the uninstaller obtained from the developer/s of the apps?


Did you restart after deletion?
