How can I speed up my computer. It is slow for all functions. I have done an Etrecheck report

Please try to restart the computer. If performance is still poor, please see below.
The reason your iMac is very slow is due to the 5400 rpm hard drive. Very slow. If you use an external SSD and run macOS from that, it will make your Mac 10 to 30 times faster for storage. Is this enough to analyze my problem? Some of my report is missing.
first, please reboot the computer in safe mode and then reboot normally and then test.
I rebooted in safe mode, then rebooted normally. My computer is back to its usual self. In other words, this worked. Thank you so much for a simple, workable solution.
