iPad won’t play audio from others in a video call, and mic won’t work
Hey, I have an iPad Pro 12.9-inch 2nd-generation. Recently I realized while in a Discord call with my friend, we realized we couldn’t hear each other’s audio. We switched to FaceTime, same exact problem. Google Meet didn’t work. Eventually I just switched devices entirely and I was fine.
A few days later I was using my iPad to talk to a group of people, when suddenly in the middle of the meeting my audio and mic cut out after five minutes. I could circumvent this issue by fully turning the iPad off and back on, however the audio and mic would still cut off after five minutes.
My mic is working fine, I tested it out. So this is very confusing. This issue is also non-existent on all my other devices so it’s not a network issue either.
Eventually, I decided I’d had enough and decided to reset all my settings. However, the issue still persisted. I then reset my Network Settings and that didn’t fix the problem either.
I tried looking up stuff to see if the problem can be fixed, but it doesn’t seem to be a common problem. I’m on version 14.6 and I keep hoping this will simply be patched out, but considering this isn’t a common problem and Apple is pretty incompetent I doubt this will be fixed anytime soon.
