Hi,

To begin with, you may want to reset the printing system and re-add the printer. Check whether the operating system suggests a suitable driver.

Apparently, a Big Sur driver for the HL-1110 is not available from the Brother support page. However, we have seen in a number of other cases that the macOS Catalina driver can be used with Big Sur as well. If necessary, you may want to carry out experiments with this. The macOS Catalina 10.15 printer driver version 1.5.0 can be found at https://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadlist.aspx?c=us_ot&lang=en&prod=hl1110_us_eu_as&os=10060

As with any experiment, things may go wrong. Software conflicts cannot be ruled out. Data may be lost. So, do not proceed unless you know what you are doing. Make sure that at least three backup copies of important files (documents, photos, et cetera) are available.
