fcpx download issue

I'm trying to download fcpx from my already purchased option in the App Store, however it won't let me download it.  It does ask to download an older version, I click yes and it is not downloading anything.  The circle just keep spinning.

The software is only distributed as a download from the App Store, but if you can download it in some other machine, you can copy it to your mac through the network or using, e.g. a thumb drive.

But I do think you need to take care of your mac's health.

I recommend two or more backups (Time Machine and a bootable clone in separate drives) followed by a clean install.

Migrate ONLY the user accounts.

Yes, Safe Mode is slow. That’s normal. The hope was if anything was blocking the download this third party software is not loaded in Safe Mode and the download might work. Sorry it didn’t.

There may be a transient network problem, so you may give it a little time and try again.

If there is a chance to connect via Ethernet instead of Wifi, or a different Wifi network available you may try that as well.

My MacPro is hard wired to the internet. I get over 900mbps. I have used Clean My Mac several times to clean everything and then tried to download and still nothing.

Throughout the year, I did notice that I have the same issue with Microsoft Excel and Word. They don't want to download from the App Store. So I use Clean My Mac program to help Updated option to help download those programs. It's the only way the Microsoft programs will download its updates.

That being said, I don't think it's a network issue. More of a IOS issue with the App Store.

If FCPX is paid, is it possible to get a disc to boot the program?

Copying it from my MacBook Pro worked. Thank you.

So if CleanMyMac is horrible, what is the best way to take care of my mac's health? Any other programs?

Secondly, I was recently working in FCPX. I'm attempting to create 40 min 4K video. After rendering and exporting, the exported video came out as if it wasn't rendered. The complete video was glitchy in speed. Do you think it's because my computer is too old to handle 4k for that large of a file. I'm running Mojave 10.14.6 on a 2009 MacPro, Processor 2.93 Ghz 6-Core Intel Xeon.

Your mac does not need and should not have any "cleaners", "antivirus", "optimizers" or anything claiming to do similar things.

You do not render before exporting.

I suppose that when you say "came out as if it wasn't rendered", you mean that your mac had trouble playing it back smoothly.

I imagine that, as you say, the 2009 Mac is probably not powerful enough for it. What format did you export that video to?

You mentioned you also have a MacBook Pro. What model? You could try playing back the same exported video and compare how it shows, especially if your MBP is newer.

The end file is roughly 40GB. Roughly a 40min video at 4K. Yes I am having trouble playing the video. It's distorted in the play back. This is on the MacPro. Video code h.264

On my 2012 MacBook Pro, when I entered the files into FCP, it gave me a message that it would have trouble playing the file as the computer was older for using 4k. Something along those lines. I have no trouble with 1080 video.
