Cannot sign to apple tv with apple id on a fire tv. Get message "Verification Failed" Any solution to fixing this?

Is this a new Apple ID account, or a pre-existing account that has been successful in use on other devices?
Problem not solved. ATV works on one TV and not the other. Both TVs are from the same manufacturing company (Toshiba), same model year, are Firetv editions, have the same version operating system and firmware/software. Both have the same version of ATV. The only difference is the screen size. Yet when I attempt to sign in to ATV on one (either via mobile or via the TV) I get the message: "Verification Failed. There were problems signing in. Wait a moment and try again." I wait 24 hours and no change. Still cannot sign in to my Apple Cloud account on one tv but can on others.
