Mac mini M1 Web Cam

I have a Microsoft HD 3000. I had it on a windows computer I built. I hooked it up to my MAC and was able to use it on Photo booth. I have not tried it on anything else yet. The picture I see in photo booth is really bright, (I have not played with it). I just signed up for YouTube to create a video. It takes 24 hours to actually activate a you tube account so you can record.

Hey MjWilliusa,

Because this webcam is made from a third-party company it would be hard to say if they have tested it with this particular product or not. You as the owner of the webcam would need to contact the manufacturer in order to confirm compatibility with the new models of Mac. If you are needing support and troubleshooting steps it may be best to try contacting Apple Support directly for assistance.

Cheers.

Yes, I would. It seems that Apple came out with new hardware and software and did not test it with any webcams for the mac mini. I have yet to see where anyone has come up and stated "Yes, this webcam works great and flawlessly with the Apple Mini M1".

Now I know that Apple is one of the richest companies in the world, so it would seem to me that considering the price we pay, as well as the upgrade limitations that your company places on the hardware, that they would at least come up with a few solutions for this common issue. Maybe my expectations are too high. What do you think?
