iOS 14.6 Software Update Glitch

I recently completed the iOS14.6 software updated on my iPhone 11. Now each time I shut down and restart the phone, I get the following startup screen:

"Software Update Complete: Your iPhone has been updated to iOS 14.6".

Then I need to re-assign a wifi network and toggle iMessages Off/On to start receiving them again on the phone. I've never experienced this before with past updates.

How can I stop/fix this?

iPhone 11, iOS 14

Couple of Thoughts:

A. Provide Apple Feedback:

Inform Apple of this bug - Apple won't get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what bugs are occurring and needs to be fixed.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: On when you came across this issue, and how you have troubleshot it thus far.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary

B. Restore from a Backup:

Did you ever create a back up your iPhone prior to performing an update? Is so, restore your iPhone from it. If not, then learn from this knowing to always create a backup from to installing an upgrade, that was you will have something to restore you Mac iPhone from, should anything go wrong afterwards. Important: Create a backup, prior to performing this restoration.

Hey there, hkc2020!

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities! If we understand correctly, you're constantly seeing the message regarding a recent update each time you restart your iPhone. We'd like to look into this further with you!

To confirm, are you normally restarting the iPhone using the side button, or are you force restarting? Also, what happens after you select the network you wish to use? Does it automatically connect or do you need to re-enter the password?

Do you have any profiles installed on your iPhone? You'll see this in Settings > General > Profiles. If you do, what happens when you remove them?

Reply with more details for continued support.

Take care!
