Greasy Oily keys/screen

I wash my hands, and I don't have a key cover of any kind. Since owning this MacBook for a little over a year I have noticed that there are little great square marks on the screen when the laptop is opened. I make a habit of cleaning the keys and screen with alcohol wipes but the issue persists. Has anybody else noticed this. If you look at your screen from a certain angle does it have marks on it? If so, do you know of anything other than what I have stated, to prevent this issue?

Some users note, the 'marks of keys' appear on the display; if they carry stacked items

in bookbag, or by hand. The display lid may be forced-more-closed, next to keyboard.

And key protectors can break the glass of the display; with reduced-tolerance issues.

Also avoid static stick-on screen protection -- as then, a matter of removal damages is

a larger problem; when the protective laminate comes off, with the aftermarket layer.

Newer thinner portable Macs have close-tolerance fit lids. ~ Handle with extra care!

However, to answer your questions more directly, no, I have never noticed this on any of my Mac notebooks, including my M1 MacBook Air. Per chance, do you use any type of screen protector? I know you mentioned that you don't use any type of keyboard covers, but a screen protector may cause this. So far, for me, the only "marks" on any of my notebooks have been fingerprints.

Thanks for responding.

in response: I don’t use any type of key or screen protector. Nor do I use anything on the outside of my MacBook. I used to carry my laptop in a thin leather case inside of my book bag. More recently I have bought a thicker memory foam type material - case. The case zips shut.
