Is anyone else having issues with DD+ codec conversions?
I'm currently running Mac OS 11.4 and an Apple TV 4K (2021 latest update) and DD+ isn't quite working right. When I convert a file (input codec A/52 B Audio (aka E-AC3) (eac3)) into an mp4 (output codec ec-3) sound isn't registering in QuickTime or TV , it works on VLC however in QuickTime there isn't even a volume bar.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Although I don't think it'll do much for the Apple TV side of things. My current working theory is that there's serious issues with audio in tvOS 1.4 (and across Mac media devices in general with the current software range), as many people have had issues with DTS conversions popping and crackling on playback. I believe this issue has been solved in the next release of tvOS and I was kind of hoping these problems were linked and if anyone knew if this had been resolved in the update.
I would update to the test version of the software and try myself but I don't know if that's possible on the 4K model.
